Wanganui

I am staying at a pub downtown and was very lucky to find a place in town with all the car folks here. They ripped me for $120 for a night so I will be moving on tomorrow. I have seen enough old cars today to last me for a while. They say that this is an International event this year and cars are coming from all over the world to be here. I have a garage to park my motorcycle inside for the night and met this guy on o his Henderson that is staying here at the pub too. I couldn’t get a good photo of it here but found it at the reception area and wow, what a nice bike. He started it up and left the pub and it sure does sound good and strong. It is a 1925 model.

I took photos of the registration sticker on most cars. You can read what it is and the year. You can also see when it was imported in the little numbers like above the G in the photo below of this cars rego.

you can also see the WOF (warrant of fitness) sticker below.  All vehicles have to be inspected every year and have a new sticker in place. If they catch you without that sticker it cost $400…. Imagine all these old cars having to go down and pass the tests. I had to have one for the bike too and it cost about $20 for a bike, not sure about cars.
