the lug nuts are glued on these rims. It makes it easy to just pop on a wheel and have all the lugs nuts ready to zip on with an air wrench. One guy I talked with said that his riding mechanic could have a tire changed in a minute and a half. He had air jacks mounted on each side of the rig that would lift either side. These tire locks came off with just a tug on that lever.

I had to ask what this seal was for. He said it was to certify that the engine was not altered. He said there was a big difference between a five thousand dollar engine like this one and a thirty thousand dollar one.

Each sparkplug has its own coil and they wrap the wires to protect them from the heat.

This is a class one car. The fastest class. This is probably a half million dollar car, could be a little more some said..

This is the car his wife will be driving. She will have a navigator as well as another passenger that is a mechanic. I talked with the mechanic and he said that really this car and crew was a way of having a mobile pit crew for that class one car. You cant have anyone go out to fix a car but if your other car stops, they can help. He said they have tools and more repair parts for the class one car with them.

Hey Cactus Jack…… a fat wheel rig. Nice kids.

I asked it was an off road ride, but he said that it was pretty tough in the sand or grass.

this beetle has some clearance.

This is a rock crawler that was here just for show. There is supposed to be a big rock race over in California in Jordan Valley or something like that next week. They race flat out to a rock place and crawl over that and race a flat spot again and more rocks and flat and rocks and flat and rocks.

Two turbos on this rig.

This is just for show, it didn’t run in the race. Actually I guess it is for advertising.

This was an unusual outfit. I had to ask what is it? he said go ask the old guy pulling it with a pickup., the old guy, and I mean really old, said he had an idea of building up a type 4 vw engine. He says it really cranks, and infact they had to go way up in size on the tires because they were just burning the little ones off. When this one came buy on race day you could really tell it was a different kind of engine. Sort of sounded like a really pissed off hornet in a can that was high on meth. It was almost out of my hearing range.

This is a three seater.

Spare drive line and hose clamps as well as tie rod and axle carried for spares.

not sure what these are called but this guy could just dance up hill or down as easy as could be.

A parking lot rig that I figured was an Arizona cruzer. I looked at the license plate and it is from Minesota….!!!!
