Kea

They often just build one lane bridges on the smaller highways here. they have a sign up that one way has the right of way (they call it Give way) and the other way has to stop if there is oncoming traffic. everyone is very courteous and seem to always want to give you the right of way even if they have it.

I was taking with a guy that said some birds showed up and he didnt know what they were. just then this guy showed up.

and had a look inside to see what? maybe he had some food?

 Bingo!!

next stop I see this sign and a hungry Kea....

 field peas

This guy has the finest crop of stones I think i have ever seen grown. Looks like stone soup will be on the menu at his house.

These are the possums that they are trying to kill. This one got it on the highway and didnt eat the poison. They trap them and shear them as they have the softest fur and mix it with Moreno wool and spin/weave/knit it into very soft garments.

land for sale sign on the overlook with farm below. looks nice eh?

this round baler was wrapping one bale as he was baling another. they wrap most of the bales down here or wrap them in tubes like silage, which they maybe are.

the pivots have these runners that push down the high tensile wire that divides the pasture and keeps the stock in its place.

nice field of potatoes.
