To have a sheep rustler become a National Hero... I just love these NZ folks. 

  Riding down the road the smell was almost overpowering.

Some of this country really reminds me of Montana

 I finmally got a photo of Mt Cook with the clouds off the top.

a couple of planes towing gliders took off from a little field that was advertising glider rides. 

There was an area where there were these little piles of rocks along the road. why? no idea... 

i just thougth i would post some views i have had in this open country.
