Ranfurly to Dunedin

Really nice table out in front of a pub on main street. This wood is very heavy.

The nicest hostel I have been in so far. As they say down here “Tidy” and it was.

Lots of armament all over at the parks and such.

Here is one of the nicest little Art Deco buildings I saw in town. A dentist officde.

As I was leaving and headed over to the coast it started to get cloudy and this little stretch the clouds were just boiling up and down as I rode by.

The sure build some massive churches down here.

I have not seen many bikes on the road which is truly amazing as the roads are so nice. It just happened to catch this guy when I stopped to take this photo of the reminder signs along the road. I sure wonder why so few bikes. Maybe they are waiting until after Christmas?

I actually just stopped to ask this guy directions and when we got to talking he turns out to be working getting Art and Digital Media programs updated at the local University. His name is Karl and just bought this Triumph 675 motorbike. He said it is only one of two in the country and was directly imported from England. It is not available here because it is a Race bike or it was allowed to be imported because it is a race bike. Not sure about that as his accent was a little strong and I got most of what he said but some of the details are iffy. It is a three cylinder engine and I think he said it has the power of a 1200… could be… His leathers were just coverd in dead bugs. He looked at my map and gave me some pointers on where to go. I like these Kiwi’s.

The hostel is an old mansion and the details of the 12 foot ceilings of the room are nice. Round top transoms.
