We headed down the coast from Westport and stopped along the coast to check out a little beach. After riding on the bike it takes a little carefulness to make it down a rock pile without making a mistake.

the water coming down from the mountain in a wide thin stream, makes a wonderful pattern in the sand.

For any ‘bug’ friends that may be riding along….

We stopped at a major sheep chute place where there are pancake rocks and a blow hole along the coast.

A whole different kind of flax then we have up north. It looks like the natives used almost every plant to weave and make things out of and not just this one.

The pancake rocks.

sheep chute that kept the wheel chair folks out.

Nice urinal eh?

I went down to the motorcycle shop to get a new tire on the Kiwi dog. Here is a road race type KTM.

A Classic XR750 Harley sportster race bike. These were flat tracker champs in their time.

Over a hundred years of loud bastards……..

A few bikes around the office area.

down on the sale floor.

I tried sitting on this one and it is a huge bike. I could only touch my toes to the ground when up and it felt heavy as lead. I am sure it goes like scat….

This is the owner and he is doing a WOF which is a ‘worthy of function’ that every vehicle has to go through every six months, after it is six years old. They check to be sure it is safe to be on the road. New vehicles have to have it checked every year until it is six years old. I think the cost is $40. I talked with the owner of the bike and he said the hack is a New Zealand copy, of a Australian copy, of a English copy of, ???? what ever, a nice heavy hack.

After I got the tire replaced, I took Sheila out on the peninsula to see the Albatross and came back on the ridge road. It was a little drizzly on the way out but cleared up nice for the return trip.
