Out of here….

Jeez, coming from summer down under to snowed under in Montana….

My neighbors came over and plowed me out with their big 4X4 tractor. Actually it was rather nice being snowed in for almost a week. My buddy Roger hiked up and brought me some groceries as well as some of his deer sausage that he had made this last fall from the deer he plunked (arrow). Wow!!! It makes wonderful pizza. Yeah, I am back on my pizza diet.

It started thawing out some and I finally got my Texas dog loaded up in the truck and shoveled out a path to get the pod hooked up.

I baked some travel bread with lots of raisins and walnuts.

Ah, isn’t it wonderful to be back in Utah desert and not have to deal with GREEN 24-7 in NZ or Snow 24-7 in Montana.

Mark Weeding is down here at the Windspirit community and has gotten me out on a couple of rides in the local area. This ride we went over to the San Carlos Apache Rez where there is this little lake with a cool old 1930 dam.

The water was rather low.

The very cool stair way down to the bottom that they have blocked off. Makes a nice photo…

Two Eagles keep watch on the canyon below.

While they are dumping water for the irrigators down in the Phoenix area they make some electricity.

I headed into Globe for supplies and finally caught the tourist train coming in from its little run. It only has two cars but one is a scenic cruiser. Yeah, I know, Enough darn TRAINS!!! Well there are lots of fruit trees in bloom here at the Windspirit but I don’t have my camera with me….

It looks like it should be OK down here for a few days.
