Quartzite
I landed in the Hy Jolly campground just north of Quartzite, Arizona last night. Looks like nice sunny weather ahead for the week. This campground is usually packed with maybe 100 campers in huge motor homes and pop out trailers, in the fall/winter. This time there are only six other campers and as I rolled through the town of Quartzite, it was almost shut down with the restaurants closed and a deserted look.
One most interesting link is that Osama Bin Lauden was killed and announced last night. This campground named Hy Jolly is named after a camel jockey that used to have a camel pack train that supplied the mines back in the early days. Kind of a weird link from here to the Arab desert.
I am headed up into Nevada to visit some friends and then work my way up to Montana, hopefully after it warms up some and maybe the sun will shine.
