The plane that got me to London

10,000 poundss??? Maybe $15,000? Must be pretty good booz……

I need a watch but passed on these.

These cans were 3,000 pounds each….not sure what a pound is now.

Austin Martin for sale in the airport.

These are Rolex watches. It would be nice to have the one on the right.

JayJay met me at the airport and took me to his home for the night. Nest morning we went to the shop and Jorg Lutz was working on the final touches for the bike.

They have a nice set of tools in the shop. They can make almost any tool or part that is needed.

Out on the street where he is removing the little work tool bag he had on it.

Isn’t is a sweet looking little machine? I am not sure the year but it is a R80ST. Jorg is going to let me ride this bike for the summer.

We went by a BMW dealer ship where JayJay left his bike for a final service as he is leavening for Mongolia on June 5th. This little scooter was in the showroom.

The work shop.

That is the only photo I have of JayJay’s bike. It is a R100GS and is highly modified. These are the only airheads I could see around this shop.

A BMW bike….

BMW cars for the little guys.

Jorg took me up to his mothers house in the mountains. This house is 325 years old and his family has lived here that long.

Walking around I found this old millstone. They must have milled the wheat they grew here.

Driving through the little villages we often saw tractors on the road. The farms are all around and they farm houses are in town like this one behind the tractor. The house is on one end and the barn is on the other. They used to have the farm animals in town but I think they now don’t bring then in any more.

part of the house is now a café where the milking stalls used to be.

granite cobble stones

the house used to have a thatch roof.

The farmer who is leasing the farm now has a nest little hay loader tractor.

I have never seen needle point like this…

Jorg’s sister Susan at the water trough where she gets plant water.

We were fed and then I got a very special desert of Cheese cake from Susan. Susan is the baker of the restaurant. She went to school for three years to learn how and then worked at a bakery for ten years. Her cakes are beautiful as well as yummy.

I took a walk in the pasture and it was sure beautiful up here.

Jorg’s Porche tractor. It is a 800cc single cylinder and in very good shape.

Jorg’s mothers cactus garden that was just placed out for the summer. I got to help bring out some from the storage shed where they live for the winter.

JJ’s daughter picked out a pair of angle wings. They really look good on her, but then anything would.

We took a walk and saw some neat sculpture along the way.

JJ and wife Christa. ( I am not sure if I have that name right, sorry if I am wrong)

The old town of Rhinefelden on the Swiss side of the Rhine.

This photo shows the power plant that is going to be torn down and a new one is being built. They are going to use the old water way for the power plant for a fish by pass. I guess that the pollution in the old days about wiped out the salmon and other fish in the river but now things are better and fish are coming back.

They really have nice walks all over. The Europeans seem to like to walk and ride bikes.

The old houses all have steep roofs and are very fancy.

The town was protected by stonewalls in medieval times.

Down town was a little touristy.

This side street looked interesting.

We had a drink at this restaurant/bar. I noticed that this building built in 1876 was built 500 years AFTER the building next door. I think the first building built here was in 930 but it was settled before that. Things go back a ways here eh?

Dog comfort station.

Tourist boat on the Rhine.

manhole.

No dumping.

JayJay rode to Mongolia back in 07 but had a fall in the sand and twisted his leg very bad. He had to come home and have his bike shipped back. He is going to complete the trip now.
