Therapy Ride
When
I went to Friday Night Music at Joe’s bookstore I asked Joe if he felt like he
had recovered enough to take a ride. He thought it would be fine unless he had
another stroke……… Well, he decided that he would go ahead and try it. We
were able to round up a nice group of Miles City bike riders. The plan was to
meet a the bookstore at 9 am on Sunday morning.

Joe
was appointed Lead Dog and his K75 was ready for a run. We headed south on Hwy
59 toward Broadus.

The
roads are not very tricky and there was plenty of opportunity to rubberneck and
check out the country. The land is just starting to green-up and the day perfect
for a ride.

I
pulled out and passed the pack and tried to take a photo of everyone but this
one of Roger is the only one I got.

We
made it to Broadus and stopped at a restaurant and had a really nice breakfast
of ham and eggs and I had the biscuits and gravy, which I hadn’t had for
years. Yumm, yumm..
We
stopped just outside of town and took the required group photos.

We
stopped at Tucker and Glenna’s place on the way back. They just got a new
puppy that I hadn’t had a chance to meet. This pup is a lab and her name is
Sally jr, jr.

Tucker
thought that Mark Weedings Vulcan needed a little adjustment.

Joe
on his K75

Bruce
Helland on his Blown, Harley Davidson V-Rod. This bike is really a show bike but
not under Bruce as he likes to ride. The blower installation that he did last
year sure is nicely done.

My
R90/6 "Black Dog" out for its first long ride since I put it back
together.

This
is Rogers Harley Sportster that he won last year.

It
is a nice group of guys and I really like the variety of motorcycles that we
ride.
I
ordered a little fairing for my bike. I put some of the pin stripping tape on it
that makes it look more like it belongs. This is something like a ‘S’ type
fairing and I will need to get some ‘S’ type handle bars to go along with
it.

I
drug out a piece of silver that I pounded on this winter and was going to cover
a dent but decided I liked it centered and behind the gas cap better.

Bull Delivery
I
dropped in over at Mark Weeding’s and he asked me if I wanted to go with him
to deliver one of his half long horn bulls over to Mark Fix’s. “Sure” I
said. Mark has a ‘new’ to him one ton truck that was a Swan’s delivery
truck in its former life.

The
boys loaded up and ready for the ride.

Mark
and Mark go over the records and details on the bulls.

This
barn is on Mark Fix’s place. I loved the texture and colors of the tin roof.

Mark
said that the barn was taken down and moved across the river to this place.

Inside
the barn. I think these logs are all cottonwood.

This
is the ‘Bale Dog’. When Mark was feeding this winter he put down a large
round bale on her. She was under the bale for several minutes but came back to
life when he finally got the bale off her. He says that she doesn’t go into
the corral when he is feeding now. I had her story in a past dog log and it was
nice to see her again. She is a really nice friendly dog and loves pets. She
wont hold still for a photo though.
