Euro, 4th of July, wedding (not mine!!)
I gave this hair clip to a friend that got married twelve years ago. She asked me the other day if I could repair it as the clip part had broken. It is always nice to get these old clips back on the bench as they have been worn and loved for years. That is why I make them.

I went to town to do my laundry. When I opened up the washing machine, I found this. I think it must be an omen that I need to go to Europe and spend it!!!

Sam came by on his way to Missouri and spent the night. It is always nice to have Sam around.

Geoff came by on his big purple R100GS/PD. He was having some strange noises in the engine when he got here. he took the vlave cover off but the valves were adjusted ok so that eliminated that possible source of the noise. He decided to go ahead and ride it home to San Jose, CA and see IF it would make it.

We went down to the 4th of July parade which was better every year. This is the parade that Tucker and Scott as well as a few others started several years ago.

I always love it when the tractors come by.

There are always a few ‘different’ ones in the parade.

These guys were having a GREAT time dragging their racecar down the street.

Scotty was the clean up man for those horses that had accidents on the route.

I took Geoff out on a ride out to see Kinsey and so I could see how the crops were coming along.

I was invited over to the wedding of my friend Jeannie that was going to be held at Big Sky. I was able to stay at the house of Robert and Krista who live in Bozeman. Her four kids and friends were there too.

The wedding was to be held at 2 o’clock so I figured I had time for a nice motorcycle ride. I got up early and headed up the Bridger canyon. The Bozeman area is really growing and there are a lot of very rich folks coming from out of state building cabins in the hills. This cabin is a little bigger than the one I am building.

This is a little statue coming into the Shields valley.

This is common view around Bozeman with new houses, condos, townhouses, and lots of new businesses building up this, once nice, little (big now) town.

I barely made it in time for the wedding. Actually I missed the place where it was to be held and Robert (half pictured here) jumped in his truck and ran me down and showed me the way to the activities.

The wedding was held in the solders chapel and this was the view I had. Everything was in silhouette and I was in the back where I couldn’t hear much.

I amused myself by taking photos of the inside of the church and the rose petals strewn on the floor by one of the little girls that preceded the procession.

The newly wedded couple.

The river along the road was just full of commercial floaters. They have school busses jammed with tourists and rafts going up and down the river. It seems like almost anything can be overdone and ruined.

This is one of Krista’s paintings that are displayed in her house. She is a very talented artist.

On the way over and back I had to wave at thousands of Honda Goldwings. There was a Goldwing convention called the ‘Wing Ding’ going on in Billings for the week. These two bikes are more or less common on the road. There were a lot of them that were a lot bigger and hulling more shit. Since these guys have four wheels on the ground, why don’t they just get a Toyota pickup, cut the top off, and that way they could ride along with their wife and not have to wear headsets to talk to each other? I guess they wouldn’t have as many comforts as these bikes.

I saw this catalogue when I was over at Charlie’s. It reminded me of what was happing here when Sheila was here with her dog Spice.

Since Spice has been gone, the little bunnies are now much more relaxed. This little guy was about four feet from me and not scared at all.
